Our commissioned sales service puts your car in front of a qualified, national audience of genuine performance and prestige car buyers - through our showroom, our AutoTrader and PistonHeads listings, and our established social media following - while you retain ownership until a sale is agreed at a price you are happy with.

Why Sell on Commission Rather Than Trade?

When you sell a car to a dealer outright, the dealer's margin comes directly out of your pocket. They need to buy at a price that allows them to re-sell at a profit - which means you will almost always receive less than the car is worth on the open market.

Commissioned sales work differently. We sell your car at its full retail value to a genuine end buyer, and take an agreed percentage of the final sale price as our fee. You receive the rest - which in most cases is significantly more than any trade offer you would be given.

For high-value vehicles - McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, top-specification BMW M, Mercedes-AMG or Audi RS - the difference between a trade price and a properly marketed retail sale can run to tens of thousands of pounds. Our commission fee is a fraction of that difference.

When your car arrives, we proactively contact buyers we know are already looking for something matching your vehicle. This often results in a sale before the listing even goes live publicly.

You will not receive calls from strangers. We handle every enquiry, qualify every buyer and manage all viewings at our showroom. You are not involved unless a sale is agreed.

Many buyers at this level purchase using finance. We have direct relationships with MotoNovo Finance, Admiral Finance, Mann Island Finance, DSG Finance and Alphera Financial Services - meaning we can put a buyer in a position to purchase your car quickly, where they might otherwise struggle to fund it independently.

Secure, Enclosed Storage

Your vehicle is stored in our secure, enclosed showroom facility in Kidderminster for the duration of the sale. It is not parked on an open forecourt. It is not used for demonstration purposes without your prior agreement.

Fully Insured Whilst in Our Care

Your vehicle is covered by our trade insurance policy for the entire period it is held with us. We confirm the details of this cover to you in writing before collection or delivery takes place.

No Sale Without Your Approval

We do not have the authority to accept any offer on your behalf. Every offer is presented to you with our honest recommendation, and you decide whether to accept, counter or decline. You remain in full control at all times.

Written Agreement Before We Begin

Before we take your car, we provide a clear written consignment agreement setting out the agreed commission rate, the minimum sale price, the duration of the agreement, and what happens if the car does not sell within that period. Everything is in writing. No verbal understandings.

DNA Autohaus Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN: 780887). We operate to the highest standards of transparency and consumer protection across every transaction.

National Collection

You do not need to bring your car to us. If you are based anywhere in the UK — Scotland, London, the South East, the North of England, Wales or anywhere in between — we can arrange professional, insured collection of your vehicle directly from your home or place of work.

Our collection driver will arrive at an agreed time, carry out a documented condition inspection with you present, and transport your car to our Kidderminster showroom ready for preparation and listing. The entire process is signed off before your car leaves your hands.

There is no charge for collection within a reasonable radius of Kidderminster. For collections further afield, we will discuss a small contribution to transport costs or, in many cases, absorb this entirely for higher-value consignments.

If your vehicle is not listed above, contact us — we assess every enquiry individually. If it is a car our buyers want, we can sell it.

Our Commission

Our commission is calculated as an agreed percentage of the final sale price. We agree this with you in writing before we collect or list your car. There are no setup fees, no photography fees, no listing fees and no hidden charges.

If we do not sell your car, you do not pay us anything.

We will always give you a realistic, honest assessment of achievable sale price before we proceed — based on current market data, comparable sold examples and the specific specification of your vehicle. We would rather set honest expectations upfront than overpromise and underdeliver.
